Sri Lanka president suspends parliament: cabinet spokesman

Sri Lanka's President Maithripala Sirisena prorogued the parliament with effect from 12 noon on Saturday, a day after he removed Ranil Wickremesinghe as prime minister and replaced him with former leader Mahinda Rajapaksa.
